We believe that being aware of how our actions, thoughts, and emotions affect our response to ourselves and others open up new possibilities.
Why? Because with awareness comes choice. When we are present, we can choose the path we want to take. Do we want 2be present in every step or just walk mindlessly, missing the wonders along the way?
We asked ourselves this question and a few more. As a result, we set out to search for ways of connecting deeper to ourselves and find this connection in our personal spiritual practice.
Sandra has been practicing Yoga and meditation regularly for years. And still, in her work as a psychosocial counselor in social education, she was missing something that could help her during those very challenging and stressful moments that she was facing again and again in daily life.
Gabriel has been engaged in Yoga and meditation for more than 10 years, being a certified teacher of both. And his challenge was how to bring these tools into his busy life as an entrepreneur and business owner.
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program (MBSR) gave us an approach that worked. These are practical tools for daily life. For us, mindfulness opened up new perspectives.
Sandra was inspired to train as a certified MBSR teacher with the Mindful Academy Solterreno and Mindfulness for children (Paws B & dot B programs) with Mindfulness in Schools Project, UK . She’s been helping others to use these tools, motivating her work colleagues and then clients in a caring and supportive, but also challenging style. Sandra believes in creating a safe environment where one can open up and realize for themselves the benefits of this practice.
Today Sandra combines two of her favorite practices – Yoga and mindfulness. Sandra is now a certified Yoga teacher by Bodhiyoga International. Her unique approach is to blend these two practices into one.
Since 2019, Gabriel has been giving experiential introductions of mindfulness to teenagers and young adults in Israel. The lecture is then followed by an invitation to “Taste Mindfulness” – a short series of posts and guided meditations that allow the audience to experience mindfulness for themselves.
